We liked our stay. The hotel is very clean and our room was comfortable and beautiful. The toilet was not working well tough and hot water was quite rare. The personnel is very competent, friendly and always available to help you. May be far from the attractions in town, but not a problem when you have a car. The hotel has books and society games that you can borrow, but we did not use them. I would recommand the hotel to everybody.
The staff were very friendly, the room was superb in decor and comfort and the location was quiet yet convenient.
The rooms were lovely
The showers. The water pressure was so low the electric showers were awful.
lovely hotel about 15 minutes walk from station - a real treasure.
It was a surprise birthday treat for my partner. We were both delighted with the welcome, the thought that had gone into the design/layout of the room, the comfort of the bed, peacefulness (no children there when we were - I'm not anti but we've had holidays ruined with unruly children making a noise and parents ignorning their misbehaviour). Nothing was too much for the staff menu-wise and the 'international' guests were a delight to chat to. We eventually stayed an extra night because the weather was so good and the room was available!
business trip, very friendly staff.Parking could be a problem.very relaxed atmosphere.Good quality of choice for breakfast.
No private parking.
Lovelly small hotel with very helpful staff and a very nice breakfast - no hesitation to give a recommendation
Interrior, cleanliness, nice garden view
No heating during the night, I was frozen to death. I really think if I pay 79 for a room, I should get heating. Also, water in the shower was a bit hard to manage, too hot/ too cold, and the pressure is low.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Warm welcome on arrival from the owner Louise. Location was very convenient for us. Good breakfast and didn't have to wait long for it.
Staff were friendly
The section I stayed in - there are two houses joined together, was not very well maintained and showing signs of a lot of wear and tear. There is no air-conditioning or fan and the only means of getting some air was to prop-up a window with a home-made brace. Very rudimentary. During my short stay, and through no fault of the owners, 6 cars, including mine were vandalized by marauding youths and this soured my entire weekend.
Staff very friendly. We stayed in room 2, this was a very spacous room with an unsuite and built in wardrobe. We did not get a chance to have breakfast as the times are 8-9 and as a weekend away we didnt want to get up that early, but we would recomment to extend the time until 10. But other than that everything was great.
A lovely guest house, the host and her staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful
Louise and her staff were very helpful and friendly. The Honesty Bar was a great idea and it worked well.
I was upgraded to room 12, a double for single occupancy. It was small and had a lot of furniture in it. What disconcerting was that it smelled of cats and stale smoke. It was a non smoking building so not sure if the smell was a hangover from the days when it was permissible to smoke there or when cleaning the rooms the girls smoke? My friend did smell smoke from one of the rooms on the top floor close to the room she was staying in. The room was also out of the main building which can be nice but also a pain when its raining which unfortunately it was. I would recommend but not room 12. My friends had no issue with their rooms.
Excellent service - gave good advice on local restaurants and lent me a map. Very comfortable and peaceful.
Very clean and quiet. Friendly welcome and room was spacious.
The shower was cramped and water kept cutting out. The location was a long way from Hastings and the service during breakfast was very poor. Choice of breakfast limited
